Anything unusual has always attracted me. Be it a person in mismatched clothes on the road, a barren tree, a bird dipping in a small puddle of sand or a destination that no one has heard of- where the rough path has been less trodden by the human feet. Yes, am a traveler, a capturer of life’s unusual moments, unnoticed sights. I don’t claim to be a photographer as my mind is the store house for all that I see and I derive happiness in giving identity, a name to the unusual sights that I capture. Of late, my latest expedition to Maldives has added a new word, a new island to my collection. I have named it ‘adkratsubsr’.
Sounds weird isn’t it? But then it is supposed to be that way only- out of the place, unheard of. Adkratsubsr stands for the unnamed island- an island that had no name but now has one but without any meaning. The trick lies in this only. The beauty of the island beckons all and since the island is totally secluded, no one has ever thought of giving it a name. Even though I have, people visiting this beautiful island with its coral reefs, evergreen trees and emerald blue sea will always have different names to it. Being a believer in the different things of life, adkratsubsr seemed to be an appropriate name for the island- at least for me. For me, adkratsubsr stands for the island’s ruggedness contrasted with the beautiful valleys dotted with waterfalls. Adkratsubsr stands for the wildlife, adkratsubsr stands for all the waves crashing on the sandy sea beach of the island.
I have found something new, given something an identity and shared with you all. A path is being shown and now it is upon you to explore adkratsubsr on your own, in your own way.
